Over the next two decades the region served by Southeastern in Kent, East Sussex and South East London will have one of the fastest growing economies in Britain. For this growth to be sustainable, it must be supported by a reliable and efficient mass transport infrastructure. Over the next 15 years, we estimate the demand for rail travel in the region will increase by 65%. One huge spike will be the 2012 London Olympics, much of which will take place in our region. Put simply, our challenge will be to move more people to more places much faster.
